Surge tank - If the petrol splashes

If you are building a car that you need for motorsport, it can often be a problem that the petrol splashes around in the petrol tank and thereby loses the petrol pressure. In the worst flat, it can cost an engine if one of the pistons burns. Here you can use a "surge tank", it is a tank that you put in the trunk or under the car where there is not much petrol in, the small tank is filled up by the original petrol pump and petrol tank and therefore never loses the petrol pressure. You can also build it with, for example, a 40-litres fuel cell and an external petrol pump.
