High-quality adjustable fuel pressure regulator

Qualitec has several different models of petrol pressure regulator for mounting when the fuel system needs to be upgraded when the car is tuned. The purpose of a gasoline pressure regulator is to maintain a certain injection pressure, often it is 3-4 bar pressure. The regulator is also connected to a vacuum/pressure hose from the intake manifold which regulates the pressure down when there is a vacuum in the manifold and up when the pressure rises and there is eg 1 bar charging pressure, here the pressure in the nozzle bridge must increase together with the charging pressure. It is important to choose a high-quality regulator, if you buy a bad regulator you may be unlucky that the membrane cracks or it reacts too slowly. Many of the regulators we sell are adjustable, these regulators can be set to a higher or lower pressure than a standard regulator, which will provide more or less petrol to the engine.

Installation of the fuel pressure regulator

When fitting an adjustable fuel pressure regulator, it is important to provide all threads and joints with sealant, often you can use Logtite thread sealant or screw lock which is really good. Remember to turn the pressure control down to a minimum before the petrol pump is switched on so that it does not get too high in pressure. The input/access to the regulator is always connected to the same screw connection as to where the pressure switch is located. Normal petrol pressure is at 3 bar but can fluctuate between 2.5 and 4 bar. So pay attention to what your car might have driven with before.
