With a new downpipe, you get a higher flow in your exhaust system. A downpipe - also called a downpipe is the exhaust part that is put on right after the turbocharger. Often there is a catalyst in the front pipe, the catalyst ensures that the car does not pollute, however, there are many who do not want a catalyst mounted in the front pipe as there is not as good flow in it as in a "clean" and large downpipe. When installing a new downpipe, it is important to look at whether the pipe is larger so that more exhaust gas can pass through the pipe, our front pipe is basically always larger and made for high power.

Stainless steel downpipe - Fitted as original

When you get a new downpipe from Qualitec, it is often one that is "plug and play" for the original installation. However, our specially made downpipe for eg 1.8T is made for mounting with a larger exhaust, eg 2½ "or 3". There are outlets for eg lambda probe, exhaust temperature, and possibly other sensors.
